Photos capturing the rare CrocObama making the fatal mistake of misjudging his Hippopublican rivals. A happy ending ensues.

“The detested CrocObama, in another blatant act of arrogance, suddenly raced across the backs of his Hippopublican rivals. Some feel it might have panicked, due to some further evidence of it´s weak and overly submissive nature, and thought it had an opportunity to flout the presumed weakness of his rivals. It was the worst choice the reptile could ever have made. And it was definitely its last."

h/t Nickie Goomba for the idea (sort of) and TIMESONLINE for the narrative & pics.

Hippos will mess your shit up.

Sadly, the Republican animal of choice remains...the RINO.
Ever read Col. Jeff Cooper? He did a lot of big game hunting in Africa and said that of all the scary things in Africa, being between a hippo and the water is the scariest. Almost as bad as being between Michael Moore and an organic buffet table.
I think I like the second frame the best. I mean, that's the one where the CrocObama or the Hippopublican "makes a splash." It's like that moment when the good guys suddenly notice there's something wrong going down in their 'hood. And then it's all down hill from there. For the croc.

Momma Hippo: How was your romp down in the river, dear?
Bartholomew Hippo: Great! Er, there was a problem. But it's been solved.
Momma Hippo: Crocodile?
Bartholomew Hippo: Yeah. Socialist, too. Solved quickly.
Momma Hippo: Good work, dear.

Supm´s up wit IntenseDebate. I´ve noticed some shinanagans going on lately. Gotta check it out. Where did you get that message?
Mike - I replied to Bill's last post on the DailyKos thread yesterday morning, and while the sidebar says that mine was the "Last Comments for The DailyKos..", and shows a little snippet of what I wrote, the actual comment itself is not on the thread at all. (I feared you had removed it for being too controversial or something, until I read Cerdo's comment.) So yeah, something's definitely not working right with the comment maker.
No worries on the controversy level, mi amiga. ECI´s right, it´s pretty flexible, to say the least. Otherwise, I´d have banned myself long ago ;-)
Wow, can´t think in English and write in Spanish......amiga mia!!!
I received the message after posting my pithiest comment ever on the great Hippo / Croc debacle, so you can imagine my disappointment. :)

Heh heh!! Seriously, not a big deal. But it appeared as soon as I hit "submit comment", and it made it look as if you had turned moderation on or something.

@Susan: sorry if I caused you to believe your comment was too controversial. Mike's controversy meter is pretty flexible.

I noticed something like this once, a while back, with a KingShamus comment, but figured he must´ve deleted it or something. Now I know there´s a problem. Pithiness rules supreme on any blog I´m a part of (mostly on the part of commenters). Intensedebate has been duly threatened (ok, politely informed) of the problem. We´ll get to the bottom of this.

Til then I´m gonna open up the comments on the sequel post to the first Bill in Portland Maine one.
Yeah, I noticed that that comment had gone missing but figured it was somehow too hawt for IntenseDebate for some reason.

When I first registered for Intense Debate over at Big Hollywood, they zapped five comments in the span of two days. Then it got better. I dunno. Teh interwebz r hard.
No, no, Cerdo, it wasn't you (or Mike) at all. I was just saying that I thought my comment wasn't visible on the other thread because Mike had pulled it or something. It was only after reading your post above about the "moderation" warning you got that I realized Mike hadn't pulled my comment, it was just that the comment-maker program that was on the fritz.
Saw this at Goomba's the other day. Fantastic stuff. I have you synced back to ADHD. Sorry it's taken so long. I have to rebuild that extensive blogroll manually. Ugh.

Yeah, I only saw the lede for the story at TIMESONLINE earlier that day, not the photos. Then saw all the photos up at Goomba´s. Snappy satire spewed forth naturally (blush).

I left my more extensive blogroll behind, so you´ve been duly updated here since, what was it, Monday, I guess (?). Site´s looking good!
MOMMA HIPPO: How was your romp in the river with your friends, dear?
ARTIE HIPPO: Great, ma. Well, there was one problem. But it's been solved.
MOMMA HIPPO: Crocodile?
ARTIE HIPPO: Yeah. Socialist, too. He kept saying over and over again, "Let me be clear," so finally I got fed up and told Cliff we ought to do something.
MOMMA HIPPO: Oh, you were with Clifford? Such a nice boy.
ARTIE HIPPO: Yeah. And he bit the bastard's neck.
MOMMA HIPPO: Language, dear.
ARTIE HIPPO: Sorry, ma.

Well, at least it was quick.

RIP, Croc.
